I have severe Misophonia so the sound of my two chihuahua's licking themselves drives me more than bananas. One is a mix so he has longer hair around his mouth and it tends to collect a lot of saliva when he's licking himself and that just amplifies the sound. We live in a one room apartment together so I can hear them licking their junk or slopping their chomps from any room in the house. I can liken the sound to someone sticking a red-hot poker into my molar and holding it there while laughing at my pain. It doesn't matter what activity I am doing I will always hear them over any noise I may be making. I swear my dogs are learning English because I do not talk to them in a baby voice. I tell them very clearly that they need to stop and if they don't listen I make them leave the room. (I'm the boss; they leave not me.) They tend to do it the most when they're really comfortable and are settling down into a good position. I hate making them move while they're doing that but for their safety they have to evacuate my premises.

Sounds To Annoy Your Dog

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7p0

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Kind of. But my Jack Russell likes to sit on me and THEN lick his paws... if he'd just go on the floor or some where else I'd be happy!

Try licking your dog yourself! I sure it'd sound less annoying, and It's a good way to bond with the dog.

OMG!! I too hate that sound. Its gross. Especially embarrassing when I have friends over and all of a sudden, my jack russell sits in the middle of the rooms and begins her grooming!! I stop her right away and she stops.

Yes, I would agree after awhile that does get on my nerves a little to. I usually tell my two dogs enough stop it. They usually listen after a few times of just saying there names and enough.
