I agree with the poster who said hernia is the possible cause. Go to the dr. asap.

I agree, it sounds like an umbilical hernia. If the pain becomes intense and the bulge will not go back in when you push on it, seek medical treatment immediately.

Sorry to be blunt, but when was your last BM? It might be as simple as you need to go... and once you do you will feel MUCH better. This has happened to the best of us, in agony because of our digestive system being angry with something we ate... so if you have a food/drink trigger, do that and see is you feel better after your BM. Coffee does the charm for me, every time... um, if you are in that much pain even after a BM, get yourself to a doctor, STAT because who knows, and better to be safe then seriously ill.
