Jesus is God, and there is plenty of Scripture that says this, although Muslims believe that He was just a prophet. They believe that only Allah is God. Trinitarians believe that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God.

Let's look at what the Father says about the Son:

"But about the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the scepter of your kingdom is a righteous scepter." (Hebrews 1:8)

That alone should be enough to convince the most hardened skeptic, but it isn't. They reinterpret its clear meaning to something else that fits their a priori assumptions. (After all, we can't believe that this particular Scripture says something we don't personally believe, can we?)

Here are some other examples where Jesus applied the name of God (Cf. Exodus 3:14) to Himself: Matthew 14:27, Mark 6:50, Mark 13:6, Luke 21:8, John 4:26, John 6:20, John 8:24, 28, 58, and John 13:19. There are several others I have not listed. (Note, the I AM passages I referred to are from the Greek, as the English translations often mistranslate I AM for "It is I" or "I am He," to allow for readability.)

I am including a link for those who honestly want to get their hands around the doctrine below. It has a diagram that vividly demonstrates the Triune God concept. (About halfway down the page.)

With this overwhelming evidence, I cannot understand how anyone could deny the trinitarian nature of God.

i'm mormon, and in the LDS church, we do have self assurance that Jesus is the son of god. human beings get this blended up lots. do no longer hassle. Jesus and God at the instant are not the comparable human beings. they are seperate beings. anybody in this earth is a baby of God and chosen to persist with Christ in heaven. there develop right into a conflict in heaven. a million/3 observed devil. Christ is termed the son of god by fact he did no longer something incorrect. He toched no unclean element and develop right into an excellent occasion to anybody. He develop into crucified and he died for anybody'S wrongs. consequently he's termed the son of God. he will come back. on the 2d coming and no physique knows whilst which would be. that's what the LDS church believes. i'm hoping that helped.

Jesus is God and the Son of God. There are many verses to back this up. In John 10:30 Jesus says The Father and I are one.
They are part of the 3 fold nature of God
God the Father
God the Son and
God the Holy Spirit

KJV Genesis 1:26 & 27 God said "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness... So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Does it sound like there are two people doing the creating? God and his son Jesus created the earth and people. So if God and Jesus were the same person that scripture would not make sense if we accept Jesus was the second person mentioned doing the creating. Notice they created male and female in their own image. Where did they get a female model image? Think on that one.
I searched many Christian denominations and not one pastor could answer my questions on the Trinity. The trinity isn't doctrine. God never refers to himself as his son or vice versa. People are putting a twist on that. There are three distinct personages. God the father,(Jesus prays to and calls him father, because he's not praying to himself) Jesus Christ the only begotten(means born) son(conceived thru the holy spirit as Mary knew no man) and the Holy Spirit who guides us all no matter what denomination we ascribe to. Jesus is a god, but not God the Father. The reason so many have differing opinions is because of the apostasy. After all the apostles were martyered we lost the truth of the gospel. So man had to fill in the gaps of what his faith in the gospel knew to be true. God couldn't be a Christian as he is not a follower of Jesus the Christ. I hope you will continue your quest. There is a reason for everything and for why you need answers to this. Good luck on your quest. Ask and it shall be made known unto you.Remember Jesus spoke in parables, when he says I and God,my father are one, don't you think it's possible he's speaking philosophically?

John 1:1 says that “the Word was God.” John 1:14 says that “the Word became flesh.” This clearly indicates that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, "...Be shepherds of the church of God, which He bought with His own blood." Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. Acts 20:28 declares that God purchased the church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!

ooooh loaded question! Well, first off, when a Christian says thank God they generally mean thank God the Father (Yahweh). However, we believe that Jesus is also God in human form...a different role, God the Son. We also believe that God has a third party involved...the Holy Spirit...it's kind of confusing, but let me explain the Trinity this way: It's like an ice cube. The Trinity is the ice cube. God the father is the ice cube itself, Jesus is the water, and the vapor is the Holy Spirit. It's kind of confusing but it's an essential belief in Christianity.

One last note...They are all 3 equally God, but they are different in roles...Jesus willingly submits to God the Father, and the Holy Spirit willingly submits to Jesus and God the Father. Anyway, I hope that helps!

Jesus is both God and the Son of God. In the Gospels, Jesus says that Adonai (God) has given him all power and authority
in Heaven and on earth. He sits at the Father's right hand. It is said that no man has ever seen God, but the Son only. If you know Jesus the man, you know the Father. Remember, Jesus was born as a man to fulfill the Law of Moses. And he himself was offered up at the Crucifixion as a Blood sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. When Christians pray they pray in the name of Jesus. Now he is no longer a man, but he is always in the presence of the Father, and is divine.

Yes. Jesus is a part of the whole of God the same as you are body and spirit. If you can believe in a man being more than flesh why is this so difficult for you? We are created in the image of God.

Jesus is both the Son of God and God the Son.

Jesus is equal to the Father and the Holy Spirit. Three persons, one God.

Not just a good man,not just a prophet, but God Himself.

It is a difficult thing to say who "God" is. He is a trinity: He is God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit. Jesus is considered the Son of God. All that come to God must come to him through Jesus Christ, who is like a mediator. All this description is definitely divinity and different people have their different ways in thinking about it. After all, it is hard for a person to fathom.
