If you are not allergic to it, take Ibuprofen. It's an anti-inflammatory and can help you be more comfortable tonight.

Ooh do I know where you’re at! I’m sunburn professional, I’ll get a burn under a 40 watt light bulb. Anyway if it hurts too much to put any aloe on it put some vinegar in a spray bottle and spray the burn. I know it sounds nuts but it temporarily stops the pain allowing you to lather up with some aloe vera and the salad smell goes away in a few minutes. Ibuprofen is a good idea as well. Usually when I get a bad burn over a large portion of the body i will feel weak or sick……and ibuprofen helps get some sleep. Once the pain stops use lots of moisturizer, you want try to keep that skin from peeling or blistering. Just remember next time to sun-screen up! Prevention is the least painful way.

One really good remedy is a lukewarm tea bath (Lipton, store brand, etc.) with approximately 20 tea bags floating around you. Soak as long as you can. The acids in the tea will extract the pain from your burn. Noxema, just plain old Noxema all over following the bath will make you feel more comfortable (as long as you can stand the smell!). Be very careful with Aloe. It cools the skin, yet dries it out also. If you start to blister, you should see a doctor immediately. Sunburn can be a very serious problem. Good luck! Hope you feel better.

I have been is this shape a few times. Sometimes I was so burnt I couldn't walk. Nothing much is going to help but if you have some pet milk in the fridge it will draw the heat out of your legs but be aware when it drys and you try to stand it is going to hurt more. Just apply the cold cream over your burn and let it dry. It helps but it is not a cure. Time will heal.

I've got burned like this a time or too. The needle in the legs feeling has me somewhat concerned. I'm assuming you're drinking plenty of non alcoholic, non caffinated fluids to prevent dehydration. I would take some vitamin E capsules to help with tissue healing. It wouldn't hurt to call your doctor and see if he wants to do a follow up visit. One thing that might help (up to the doctor), is to see if he wants to give you a cortisteroid injection. It helps with healing (not much with pain though), and prevents some infection. Sometimes doctors will combine kenalog (or prednisone) with a dose of rocefin as well (double treatment).

A non sedating antihistime would help with the pyrtic response somewhat as long as your drinking plenty of fluids as antihistimes have a tendency to dehydrate you somewhat.

It'll be painful at first but you need to put aloe on them. If you don't have an aloe based moisturizer then you should use the heaviest moisturizer on them that you have available. If it starts blistering then you should definitely see the doctor.

Get some Aloe Vera lotion or gel. It cools the sunburn and relieves the pain. Trust me, it works like a charm! You can get it at your local drug store.
