It does seem rather common. People make up things to prove what they want to be true and assume no one will notice. Sad, really.

I'm not sure where those particular quotes came from, as they are not referenced by the person who submitted them, but there is a plethera of information readily available that support our founding fathers being of Christian faith. I'll do some digging and see what I can come up with.
*** Storm Chaser, no where in this answer did I say ALL our founding fathers were Christian. Nor did I infer that I knew the quotes to be true, thus validating them to be true. However, the personal writings of both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson show them to be men of Christian faith. Perhaps, if one need any more information about the beliefs of our founding fathers, The Declaration of Independence would be a good source. I seek NEVER to be argumentative with people who do not share my faith. I won't start now. The person asking this question solicited a response from Christians. So, I answered :)

Read what the Founders had to say about religion in public life. Read what the Founders had to say about Christianity. And then look at how the jackasses on the Supreme Court have twisted the First Amendment.
Look at their invention: the wall of separation between Church and State. Where do you find that in the Constitution? Where do you find the right for a woman to kill her unborn baby (abortion)?
We don't need false quotes. There are plenty of actual quotes. What we need is for the American people to turn off their TV and open a book. They need to learn more than the public (government) schools are teaching.

You mean all those Protestants quotes, sorry but they are not Christians, and Christians do not make up founding father quotes, we follow Christ not a founding father.

2Ti 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2Ti 3:2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
2Ti 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
2Ti 3:4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
2Ti 3:5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

God doesn't need anything from us.
God said many false prophets will come. He warned us people will come in his name but try and lead us astray. God will take care of them, hopefully he will save their soul. By the way what chapter in the bible were my founding fathers talking in?
