Can we all here agree on here that as Human Beings we DON'T know everything?

Don't mention God, Allah, Yahweh, Gods and Goddesses, etc.
Don't mention the Bible, Quran, Torah, the Eddas, etc.
Don't mention Science.

I'm talking about each and everyone of us. As humans. As ourselves.

Can we all just agree that we don't know everything? I'm trying to find some common ground here amongst people.

God, Allah, Yahweh, Goddess, Bible, Quran, Torah, Eddas, Science, etc. Just had to mention these again for your ears' pleasure. Haha. jk.

I'm an agnostic and I get shunned by most people around me when they hear my convictions when it comes to spiritual beings. Being agnostic means I claim I do not know anything about God and what-nots. I respect what other people's beliefs are, but how come they cannot respect my beliefs?

I want to be enlightened. I am here not to accept what society says, "must be true". I want to know facts and separate them from fiction. And because we, human beings, have yet to prove beyond reasonable doubt whether or not A SUPERIOR BEING exist, I therefore courageously conclude that I cannot worship or devote my life to someone or something I am unceratin existed.

Like I said, I do not know whether God exist or not. Having said that, I will be ready to proclaim his presence if his existence gets proven beyond reasonable doubt; and I will be ready to denounce it if it gets proven beyond reasonable doubt that his existence was a mere figment of our ancestors' imaginations. I could go either way, but I will need convincing. Until then, I stand firm that I am in the middle; Middle of nothingness. In the dark.

To sum it up, I fully admit I am ignorant of this topic. Why does our brethrens blindly swallow anything shoved down their throats, that's a whole issue on its own right.

Stripping it down to the bare essentials, are you? I can relate to that. Ever noticed that you influence people the most when your not trying. knowing nothing or everything will never solve this crisis on humanity that we get to be a part of right now since Yahoo sees fit to group Religion and Spirituality together. It's not about head knowledge or what you've been taught. It's all about how you use it. Therefore I know nothing. Go ahead and tell me how it is in your world.

I know alot of things, but not everything of course, not just yet... because I live on planet earth and I am a limited, though a sentient and somewhat sapient being.
However, I have learned that there is great wisdom in knowing that sometimes the more you know the less you know because some of the "knowledge" in this world is flawed or incomplete. As Socrates once said; "all I know is that I know nothing" there is alot of truth in this, although even if you know nothing you know something. Therefore, I leave some of my conclusions for the day I know everything.

Take out all of the science and religion and what do we have? We have thought processes that relate to staying alive. We have a will to learn and to survive, and procreate, that's about it. If we didn't have the ability to imagine, we wouldn't be here today having this discussion. But all we have is imagination and all of humanities collective knowledge and philosophies is based on human imagination. So we know everything right? I mean at least we think we do. Thinking you know is very different from knowing. Maybe we'll never know.

I don't know everything.

I know a lot of things, my head is full of useless crap from reading books, and getting a college education. But do I have all the answers? No.

Does my religion have all the answers? No.

Does anyone, any philosophy, any one religion have all the answers? No.

The Universe is a big freaking place. The more we discover, the more questions we have. We will never have all the answers. There will always be something more to learn. Isn't that wonderful?

Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is pulling the wool over your eyes (or trying to.)

I can agree that the only things we can truly know are the things we have experienced for ourselves, and even those are suspect, for memory of the experience gets altered by the story we tell ourselves about it. But we can believe, and use all of those things you mentioned as lenses to view the world through, different ways to narrate the story we tell ourselves, and each has it's value, but none should be taken as the one true way.

Of course. That is why we must attempt everday of our lives to learn something. People that say they know everthing have stopped growing. By nature we are questioning beings. From our questions we might not find answers, but at least we have worked our minds. I do not thnk the answer is as important as what we learn in our quest.

I very happily will say I don't know much of anything. Human beings have not even scratched the surface of what is possible to know, and I haven't scratched the surface of what human beings know. I think admitting you dont know everything is the smartest thing you can do.

I agree that I know nothing about life's biggest questions - where we go when we die, what's it all about/for, where did we come from, why are we here, etc.

I am attracted to answers that have intelligent well-thought-out theories behind them, preferably with some convincing evidence, but I accept that no one knows for sure and it's all theory and speculation.
