Have you been out of the house lately?
I dont mean driving a vehicle I mean to walk?
I used to stay up for a day or two but never 6 days, heard it can border on sycosis if you stay up that long.
Would take a hot shower to relax, then I would try and write a list of what needs to get done.
If I felt tired I would lay down, but never get into bed unless you know you can sleep.
Last resort is to bundle up warm and walk around the neighborhood breathing as deep as possible getting as much fresh air as you can, think about some positive things that have happended to you.
then go home you should be able to sleep, hope this helps

If you are manic and you are aware of that you need to make sure you are taking any medications you have been prescribed, and call your mental health provider. If you don't have a therapist or psychiatrist at this time I would go to the crisis center nearest you (or the ER) it is not healthy for you to be up this long and if you were taking your medications as prescribed you, need to get a med adjustment sooner rather than later. Just remember your judgment is impaired when you are manic and you are more likely to minimize the harm in your current situation and anything you may have been doing for the last 6 days. Also this is a long time for a manic episode and you may crash hard into a severe depression and need to be where someone can help you.
Take care

I am also Bipolar and am manic at the moment but only at about a 7/10 but I know that horrid sense of doom that a downer is coming.
As sad as it is to try and bring yourself down a bit - you need to. Being very manic can lead to psychosis and you may become even worse. There are ways you can slow down a little just to take the edge of the mania - get some mental rest - and hopefully avoid a big fat crash.
Watching your behaviour closely
Being very selective in what you do
Try not to do too much in a day
Try your very best to sleep (almost impossible)
Avoid activities that wind you up (like going out to bars or listening to loud music)
Eat healthily as best you can
Take a normal amount of exercise each day
(stroll in park not full on running)
Try not to undertake any hard mental activities
Give your credit care to someone safe
Prevent all activities that might get you into trouble
OK....so you need to come down a little
But at the same time you need to do all the things you can to stop yourself having the big crash:
Absolutely go see your pdoc ASAP - there may be something that takes the edge of your mania - you might still feel good - but not so manic. I take Zyprexa when I am manic. It does not bring me down.
Make sure you are taking you normal BP meds.
The mind going silly is something that drives me mad - it is great to fell up but the incessant thinking and change of thoughts is really tiring.
Give yourself a break and see if coming down a little will prevent a big crash..

are you bipolar? sometime a condition called SADD comes along with bipolar and there are lights that you can buy to help this condition. are you taking meds? if so keep taking them. if you cant get any sleep, go to the hospital and get an evaluation from a dr or get a phsyc eval. you have to get some sleep or you will have more serious problems than comming down! maybe your meds need to be adjusted. good luck

If you know you are manic, then you most likely have a therapist or at least a support system of some type. Use it. Now.
