I was wondering if police reports and autopsy reports are able to be viewed by anyone?

In general yes, unless it is an ongoing investigation. Youcan apply under the Freedom of Information Act.

You need to contact the medical examiner or the coroner of your county. If the person was an adult when they died, you may not have the right to the report, even if you are family. I very strongly doubt if the info is available on the internet. Information from an autopsy should be confidential. But the bottom line is to contact the entity who performed the autopsy and ask for a copy. Sorry for your loss.

police reports and outopsy reports can not be given out to the public . usually the information is classified and only shared with the familly and freinds of the decissed . But in some cases depending on the case and how much the police know about the case it can be shared with the public this usually only happens in cases were the decissed death is a unknown one then usually the police will offer a reward to gain information about the decissed . But if is known to the police and family how the decissed passed away the information is only restricted us a family /freinds matter . But if the family wishes to give this information out to the public then its there choice like anoucing the death of the person .

hope this helps you

police reports yes, autopsy not always, depends on the reason found behind the death, and your relation to the deceased

Where I live, Mez's answer would be the correct one. You won't be seeing either unless you are a famliy member, or an attorney needs it for some reason.
