I did a search on Biblegateway for any words in Proverbs with the word Body. Here are the search results, which showed 170 verses with the word "Body" just in the book of Proverbs.

Look at 1 Corinthians 6:18 thru 20. It talks about your body being a temple that was purchased at a price. That temple is sealed with the Holy Spirit that is in every believer and should not be brought into sin against his own body. not word for word but the gist of it.
! Corinthians 3:16 is even more powerfull to me. Its explains that our body is God's temple. I believe this is the temple that Jesus rebuilt in the three days when he told the Jewish leaders in his day and that he would tear down and rebuild. Happy Easter everyone. Praise the Lord.

Hi! I found a few scriptures in Proverbs.
Proverbs 4:17; (in context): 14, "Don't do what the wicked do or walk in the footsteps of evil men. 15, Stay away from them. Don't let them entice you. Turn away from their suggestions and go your own way. 16. Those kinds of people are bent on evil. They can't go to sleep until they feel satisfied that they have done some evil. They toss and turn at night until they think of how to take advantage of someone else. 17, They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence."
16:32 "He who is slow to anger is better than a mighty warrior. It is better to have your emotions under control than to conquer a fortified city."
20:1; "Wine turns people into mockers; alcohol gets people into fights; whoever is deceived into drinking it is not wise."
23:20,21; "Don't join those who love to drink and gorge themselves on meat. Drunkards and glutons end up being poor; if all you do is go to parties and come home and sleep, you'll end up in rags."
23:31-35. "Don't let wine tempt you; even though it looks rich and red and sparkles in your glass. It may go down smoothly, but later it bites like a snake and shoots poison into your veins. Your eyes will begin to see strange sights, your judgment will be warped, and you will imagine all sorts of things. You'll feel seasick, as if you were holding on to a boat's mast in the midst of a storm. You'll say to yourself, "'The way I feel, someone must have hit me. But I'm not hurt. I don't remember a thing. Why can't I think straight? I need another drink!"
31:4,5. "Listen to me, Lemuel. Kings should not drink or develop a craving for alcohol. When they drink, they forget the law and deprive people of their rights."
These scriptures pertain to smoking and drugs too.
I hope these are helpful.

Smoking and doing drugs are not mentioned. Drinking until you get drunk is.(Prov.26:9) That your body is a temple (1.Cor.6:19)is also mentioned which means to me that we shouldn't be putting bad stuff in it.

Is there some reason you don't just read Proverbs instead of asking us to do so?
And, I haven't read it just lately, but I don't remember very many references to smoking or doing drugs...........

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
This isn't proverbs, but God dwells in us, and we need to take care of the temple.

in Galatians- no socery is allowed for the follower of Christ, in the greek socery means 'pharmakeia', where we get the word 'pharmacy'.
