Have you ever been searched by the Police and Why?

As a 17 year old, I was arrested for a variety of 'boys will be boys' type exploits (I should mention I now study Criminal Justice at University and work in Transit/security, so I have grown up!)

I was chased down the street, tackled... perhaps roughed up a little... cuffed, dragged back to the car, and driven to the station. I got the full search and pat down, several hours in the cells, and a court date out of the experience. Not an experience I ever hope to repeat!

Nowadays, its me doing the cuffing etc. :D

Ive been searched for just walking down the street. My friend had 2 unopened beers in his hand which i didn't even realize he had. The cop said he smelt marijuana on us, but we told him that was impossible because we had just showered before we had gone out. The cop searched me anyway, they ended up finding about a gram of marijuana on me. Although I did have weed, I know I didn't smell like it because of the shower i took prior to leaving. The cop just reassured me he smelt something and searched me without my permission. I wasn't jailed I was just given a fine of (420 dollars). When I looked at the police report the report had stated that my friend and I were drinking in the parking lot and they had found HTC marijuana on me. First off, i wasn't even drinking i was walking to my car, second they cant even spell THC right. There are some huge morons out there.
