No . Not always.

Production of fruits depends upon the blossom; and

blossoming depends upon pruning.

The branches that have been pruned earlier will produce

blossom earlier and will bear mature fruits earlier.

Apples on the top of the trees be riper and usually have more color as well, because the majority of the sunlight falls on the top of the tree. Apples growing in the shade will greener, because they are farther away from the sun's warmth and light.
That is why when companies store apples, they keep apples in cold dark spaces, so that the apples will keep fresh for a longer period of time and not get overripe or spoil.

Since apple trees are almost always picked from the bottom up, the apples at the top have more time to mature. Not much more, but more....
