None at all.
The televangelists since the heyday of the Bakkers are even worse. Wing nuts, hate mongers, lasciviousness, and greed all demonstrated by the likes of Pat Robertson, Robert Tilton, Jerry Falwell, Peter Popoff, Jack van Impe, Ted Haggard, Benny Hin, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Swaggert....the list goes on and on.

Don't follow the man.
That you should put your trust in God, not a man.
Men are fallible.
As we have seen in many cases.
Old Jerry keeps getting away though.
He is a skater if I ever saw one.
A real wriggler. He knows how to duck back in the bushes.
Old Tammi looked like a phony from the word go.
And she was.

Jim and Tammi taught me to listen carefully to what people say and really discern the spirit of the people involved. Also, it taught me that God not only brings punishment to His own but He also brings restoration to the fallen. For those who are non-believers this should also show that if God punishes His own family He will surely bring punishment to anyone. Never be glad to see a man fall because you could be next.

Jim Baker still needs to seriously repent for not believing in Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior. Repent to God & not people. He was repentant for taking money for personal gain. But I still haven't heard him say He has confessed to God Jesus Christ his Lord & Savior & that he believes Jesus Christ raised from the dead.
I had prayed to God about him, & this is what I believe. That he is still in a pre-salvation state.
Tammi Fay has suffered the scare of cancer, etc. & I believe she turned to Christ through her difficult trials in life. Because I have asked God about her also.
Also, you can't hide behind makeup. God sees everything.

By not doing it, they taught us we need to be kept accountable to keep us on the straight and narrow.
Jim Bakker has since written a book called "I was wrong"

I believe some have learned that they should support their own local church rather than a TV evangelist. If a person is ill and has no family, it is usually members from their local church who will do what they can to help. As a Catholic, that is what I have heard from many of them.

That they are humans with failings like the rest of us. We are to keep our minds and hearts heavenward and not place so much responsibility on humans as only Christ was able to fulfill that role. Placing too much glory on a human may mean their downfall and God loves them enough to allow this to happen so they can turn around and come back to Him. It was for them as well for us in the long run so we could set our sights in the right place. Mmm

That no matter how much make up one wears and how stupidly one grins, one will be found out in the end, if one is dishonest, as they both clearly have been.
