Believing you are good enough to go to heaven by your own goodness, is like saying I'm a good swimmer so I can swim to Hawaii. No you can't no matter how good you can swim you will still drown Just like you will die in your sin.

That's what Jesus IS for - to eraise your sins with His Blood! It IS Real and True! You see, God does not want anyone in - Hell! God will not put you there - you put yourself there - In Hell with your own decisions in your life that you choose! Going to Heaven or Hell is up to us following which ever path we choose - That's why God gave us 'Free - Will'.
After all Peter (one of his Deciples) denied Jesus 3 times and all of the Deciples messed up one time or other. And, look at David in the Old Testement! After all - David committed Adultery and killed her husband! Still - he went to God and asked for forgiveness and was given Favor - David became one of the Great Kings of Isreal (of Old) - Not today's Isreal. Wow! See - if God can forgive these - Denying Him, Murder and Adultery - Yet God (Jesus and The Holy Ghost) gave them His Favor. Surely you have not done worse than that! God can give you His Favor as well!
I just Pray that this touches your heart and that You Will Accept the Lord Jesus In Your Heart - So, He can wash your sins away - And, then you can go to Heaven - Jesus Is the Only Way!
Take Care and God Bless!

If that's what your beliefs are, then you should know that not only those who reject the idea of a God are "arrogant and self-righteous enough to believe that they're too good to go to hell." I know a heck of a lot of "Christians" that are, too. And they spend an awful lot of time pointing out other people's perceived sins and not enough time worrying about their own. That there is the EPITOME of arrogance and self-righteousness.

Some people simply don't but into the "believe in Jesus and be saved" line. Some think doing good and being a good person matter, not just believing and being sorry. There's the real arrogance.
You live your way, allow others the same right.

Only a fool would say that they are so clean by their own good works that no one could ever question them.
Hell is being apart from God. You can't go up to God and demand that God be your friend because you are a good person. You have to build a relationship with God.

I pitty you and your sad outlook on life. If you're going to lie to yourself about the existence of God, why make him out to be such an ***?

Scripture says: "ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God".
" Not by works of righteousness WE HAVE DONE, but according to HIS MERCY He has saved us".
