I've heard many bad things about Creflo Dollar, so I assumed he was in the category of Benny Hinn and some of the other television preachers looking for money. For the first time this morning I listened to one of his sermons. I didn't hear anything out of line, it was about putting God first in everything, and believing his words instead of our own thoughts.

If this is not the norm for Creflo Dollar, can someon tell me what he teaches that is not in agreement with the Bible? Also, what is the Word of Faith teaching all about? Thanks

Rico maybe I didn't phrase that correctly. lol He didn't say we should be as zombies and not free will, but should choose to depend on God for our needs and to make right decisions, instead of our own negative or selfish thoughts. In other words, think more like christ. Sorry about that.

Unfortunately Mr.Dollar has conformed his message to the god of this world.

One thing Mr.Dollar teaches on that is unsound doctrine. It is the Godship of Christ. Also the A Word of Faith doctrine is unfounded and shallow at best concerning the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every now and then he will teach an okay message.Remember though a leaven leavens the whole lump. If you want to get and indepth expose on Mr. Dollar teachings. You can go to you tube and watch videos on false teachers. Also you can yahoo search false teachers. You can find sites like standupministry, pulpit- pimps and apostasy watch. Don't take my word for it. Get the clips, grab your bible and see what the final authorithy says which is God's word.

Most importantly check out the clip where he dimishes the role and sonship of Christ. It's on you tube. Don't get mad at me. I didn't say it. He said it. The bible says you shall know them by their fruit. I'm just inspecting it. As we are told to do in scripture

I have watched Creflo Dollar for years. And yes, his real name is Dollar. When I first heard on him, someone said he was an awesome teacher in the Word of God. So, I decided I was going to watch him. However, I heard some people say he was a crook so I decided not to watch him. But one night when I decide to give up as a Christian. The Lord told me to turn on the t.v. at about 3:00 in the morning. I wondered who could be on at this time? I turned on the t.v. and it was Creflo Dollar. His message that night gave me what I needed to root myself solidly as a Christian. And all of his messages ever since have blessed my life. I will say the same for Benny Hinn. Don't be swayed by the crowd, but listen to some of these guys for yourself.

Creflo Augustus Dollar, Jr. (born on January 15, 1962, College Park, Georgia) is a televangelist, Word of Faith teacher, pastor, and the founder of the non-denominational Christian World Changers Ministries based in College Park, Georgia, which is the parent organization for World Changers Church International, International Covenant Ministries, Creflo Dollar Ministries, and Arrow Records. Each of these enterprises is overseen by Dollar and his wife, Taffi Dollar.

Dollar received a bachelor’s degree in education, a master’s degree in counseling, and a doctorate in counseling from the University of West Georgia. He was awarded an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Oral Roberts University in 1998.

Dollar started his ministry in 1986 with eight people and as of 2005 had a congregation of nearly 25,000, with regular services held at the church's 8,500-seat "World Dome."

His "Changing Your World" television program is seen both in the United States and internationally. In 2004, a satellite church was started in New York. It has a membership of about 6,000. The church holds conventions around the world.

Word of Faith, also known as Word-Faith or simply Faith, is a teaching within Pentecostal and charismatic churches worldwide. The central doctrine is that health and prosperity are promised to all believers, and are available through faith.

One thing that I don't like about certain televangelists and the like from the "Word of Faith" movement is the fact that they preach a "prosperity gospel" and mislead people into thinking that God wants us to be rich in materialistic posessions. Their focus is not on the Word of God but on materialism, the exact same thing that God warns us about.

1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

My husband and I attended his church in Atlanta for three years. We grew a great deal spiritually. His teachings are biblically sound and you will learn a great deal from him. And yes, Dollar is his real last name. The Word of God works if you will follow it and put it to work in your life. I am not doing a cut and paste here. I am speaking from experience. Listen, to him and form your own opinion, rather that listening to outside influences.
And yes, he appeared in a rap video to try and shine a positive light into the black community and remove some of the negativity associated with rap videos. He also gave a financial gift to the police dept. To thank them for all the hard work they do in the area where the church is located. (They work long hours, directing traffic in and around the church, etc.)
The above poster, Rico, contradicted himself, when he said Dollar's wealth is from his parishioners then said he has amassed a fortune in real estate. His wealth is mostly from outside businesses that he has honestly worked at and he gets paid for his pastoral duties as any pastor should. As I said, watch him and let the Holy Spirit lead you in making an informed decision.

"Put god first and ignore your own thoughts"........ Sheesh, if that isn't a form of brainwashing .......... disregard my thoughts and let an imaginary entity think for me. Makes sense. You people ever listen to yourselves?

The last poster skipped over this:
A Word of Faith teacher, Dollar is sometimes criticized for advocating a prosperity-oriented teaching held by most Christians to be a misreading of Christian theology[citation needed]. Many of Dollar's church members believe that his Rolls-Royce automobiles, which were given to him by the church, his private jet, and million-dollar Atlanta home and multimillion-dollar Manhattan apartment confirm the validity of his prosperity gospel teachings[citation needed].
Critics, however, believe his lifestyle is proof of nothing more than the generosity of his parishoners. Dollar has explained that prosperity primarily involves improved relationships with God, family, friends.
Dollar's church has amassed a fortune in real estate, mostly in College Park. Like other Word of Faith preachers, Dollar is often accompanied by bodyguards in public, and has stated, "I'm a part of the God class." [verification needed]
Creflo has also appeared in front of the World Dome in the 2001 rap video Welcome to Atlanta with rappers Ludacris and Jermaine Dupri.
On another occasion, Dollar donated money as a show of appreciation to law enforcement officers in Fulton County, Georgia[citation needed].

Yes, people will believe the lies. Its easier to believe these men who start pointing their fingers telling folks that this is what the lord wants. Do as I say, this is what has blah blah. People sometimes don't want to take the time to be a good christian. They feel that they can get away with having the pertinent sound bites on CD/ DVD. Why read the bible when you can have it condensed into 60 pages and be done with it.

I have also listened to him and do not find anything bad in his preaching. He has been accused of fleecing GOD's flock.
That's all I know.
