I am just wondering how to casually let him know about something good that will help clear up his acne. It is pretty bad, and beginning to scar. He is very self concious about it and has mentioned it around me before. But I just casually want to let him know about something that would be really good to help! He goes to a dermatologist and is on something, but its not too strong. ANything please help! And how do I casually tell him without making him feel bad? Thanks!

I'm about to start Acutane and I heard it works wonders.
You could let him know that the next time he is at his dermatologist, to let them know if he could try it.

My son has acne and he's been to a dermatogist several times and we have spent lots of $ on prescription meds. Maybe you can tell him a story about someone else and maybe he will get the hint. We ordered some proactiv about 4 weeks ago and it is working. His acne isn't totally gone yet, but is going away. His face isn't red anymore and it looks like the scars are even disappearing. I am impressed.

While it took little less than two months for me to really see a difference, my acne, blackheads and whole lot of other skin problems I had such as eczema had completely cleared! It was totally amazing...

I work for a dermatologist. He should be using a cleanser with glycolic or salicylic acid in it. He should also be using a toner. That should help out with the acne. If he is already on oral medication and it is not helping, he should let his derm know.

Hmm...this is a hard one. If you have acne (or at least some zits here and there), act a little insecure about those little red cuties around your boyfriend. He'll probably say that his acne is worse or something like that. Then you have to subject brought up. I suggest he should get a doctor's prescription. It helped for me!

Sunlight! Have him get out in the sunshine and let the rays shine on his face. Be careful if he is on medications which interact with the sun. Go with him for a long walk in the sunshine. GIve him plenty of water to drink and this will help.

when people tell you of stuff like proactive and clearasil its not gonna help at all it sound to me that he needs to talk to his dermatologist about accutane. accutane can clear his skin totally in one month and he will never see his acne again

Proactiv works wonders! I love it. use it everyday and in a couple months youll see clear skin,as for the scaring have him use vitamin e cream for that.

you should not tell him ne thing if he knows about it already. he is trying to help the situations and i think that he is doing all he can.
