not sure if this qualifies for a cycling question but no other board seemed to help so here goes..i've been doing spinning for about 2 months now and have advanced to the point where i can do the stand and pedal and the climb...now i've developed a huge lump on the back of my left leg, figuring an Achilles tendon inflammation and an wondering if this could be from the standing part of the ride since i am new to the stand and climb part..i do have a minor issue with my left knee and that has started hurting a bit so i'm not sure if i've been compensating for the knee by subconsciously positioning my left foot a bit different on the pedals and that has caused this Achilles tendon to flare up...i'm thinking maybe since just the one is inflamed...thanks in advance for any info

i do know my positioning with the pedals, handle bars and such is correct...and that i am pedaling correctly, after the first class of not doing it correctly i figured out...as for the shoes i've been loosing weight the past couple months and am hesitant to spend money right now for a pair that might not fit me soon..ive lost 20 pounds these past 6 weeks and my shoe size has shrunk about half a size so far
