other rookies have not been so reckless. there's racing and then there's pouty "he didn't give it to me, so I took it."

It is an insult to compare Dale Earnhardt to this guy nascar is sucking up to because they want to shed their "redneck" image.

Hes still learning somewhat on how to handle a 3600 lb stock car instead of a 1500 lb open wheel car. Hes made rookie mistakes that everyone else has made.

When Dale Earnhardt bumped someone out of the way, people worshipped him for it. Juan Pablo Montoya isnt exactly Dale Earnhardt, but he has done some stuff that other drivers havent already done.

And to note, Ryan Newman crashed Montoya at Homestead, not the other way around. And even when the 12 got spun by Montoya, that was more a racing incident that anyone could of gotten into, not just Montoya.

Personally, I like Montoya's driving style, at least he cares about going for the win at most all costs.

Yes, he does have a lot to learn. I was pretty upset with the Tony Stewart incident today at Texas. It screwed up my streak on the Nascar game I play. I really felt sorry for Tony Raines when Juan hit him from behind at Martinsville. He was running 9th at the time. I believe Juan and Raines had contact in Bristol, and he nearly spun out David Ragan during that race too.

I do not, because he is an inexperienced NASCAR rookie who's making a big change from Open Wheeled cars to the stock cars. As others have stated, give the 29 y.o. Colombian driver some time to fully learn the NASCAR stuff.

I don't know about dirtiest, but I think he's finding it difficult to understand the various tracks in NASCAR, and it also has a different strategy as well as rules for driving. F1 is totally different as you know.

I would say if he continues driving the way he does by the end of the season, his crew chief should have a little talk with him before he gets ko'd by someone.

What happened today between JPM and Stewart was not dirty. It appeared that after several laps of trying to get by Stewart cleanly, as JPM got under him, Stewart intentionally forced JPM low down the straight figuring that JPM would drive it on in there off line and have to let off or wreck.

Well, he didn't let up and nearly wrecked and slid up trying to regain control. That is what has always been called racin' hard.

Tony didn't have to take JPM off his line but Tony was racin' hard. Tony could have backed up and let JPM just slide on up the hill and get by off the corner, but they were both racin' hard as Tony continued to race side-by-side. It was Tony's choice to be out there.

When Tony spun on his own, Junior and Kyle both had a decision to make, to slow or not. On first glance one might say Junior erred by slowing drastically as he entered a cloud of smoke. I'm sure Kyle couldn't see a thing and was trusting Junior would maintain a higher speed. I don't think either of them made a bad choice, just bad timing.

When Tony lost it trying to get back by the leader, that was racin' hard. Kyle getting into Junior was not the ending Junior deserved but in racing, you got to take what you get.

I couldn't have been more proud of Junior if he had actually won the race and I don't know what he could possibly learn about the original setup from running a "wreck" for a few laps.

i might rather see him make an mindset adjustment. inquire from me back in a 12 months. opposite to what yet another has written JPM gained the CART championship in his rookie 12 months. He additionally gained the Indy 500 on his first attempt, and two times complete third interior the F1 factors standings. the guy is amazingly gifted and in simple terms needs to benefit what's suitable in on the instant's NASCAR.

The dirtiest driver will always be Dale senior. Nobody can take that title away. JPM is racking up victories and Championships much like Mario Andretti. Nascar should be happy to have an international tallent like him but red america hates anyone that is different or to successfull two quickly

He didn't wreck Tony on purpose! He drove it a tad to hard into the corner and slid up the track. He had nowhere to go, while Smoke had half the track above him to use. Not saying it was Smoke's fault in anyway, but it was just a rookie mistake (one I've seen just about every driver make including Smoke)

Juan Pablo DEFINITELY isn't the dirtiest driver... He just has alot of focus on him because he's new to Nextel Cup. I happen to think that he's going to start winning races soon !

I totally agree with u but I remember he even did that when he drove Formula 1 cars....but i think yesterday he pushed the wrong driver that being tony stewart. Stewart is the best driver that Nascar has on their side....Tony needs to reward Montoya with a payback that only Stewart can dish out!!!
