i just recently got my braces off...5 years, its really hard to brush
one tooth always looked really bad..it looked like there was a GIANT cavity in it but then we just always thought that it was my normal actual tooth and that the cement from my braces was making it look weird so we all decided not to contact the dentist..the dentist never noticed it when i went for my yearly check ups but now that they're off, turns out, it is a big hole in my tooth..please tell me, will they be able to fix this? i mean its a very very large whole...

I'm a certified dental assistant and it sounds to me like your dentist needs to retire!! The tooth should be able to be fixed but if the decay is too deep into the nerve you may need to have a root canal, which is no big deal at all, its actually really easy. Also after a root canal you will eventually need a crown on the tooth. If the decay is not deep it may be able to be just filled.

If your dentist could not see a big hole in your tooth you need to go to another dentist that is not blind. He will be able to take care of that hole.

Check with your dentist. That's where you will find the most reliable answer.
