It's very rare for them to be available where I live. I hover unless I have to go #2, then I have to sit down and I put toilet paper on the seat. Always.

When they are available I do. Otherwise I squat. If I am bringing my daughter to use the restroom and there are no covers I make one out of toilet paper for her (she's 4 and can't squat) Very rarely if the restroom looks like it's just been cleaned I'll use the bare seat.

I don't believe I have ever used a toilet seat cover...I'm not real paranoid about toilet seats. Now the best thing about a toilet seat cover is when you run out of toilet paper, they make great substitutes.

I make my own personal toilet seat covers with toilet paper if I need to make contact with it.
Otherwise, squatting is better but just so long as you clean up any mess.
When I was a kid in elementary school, I got worms from sitting on a toilet, so it is important to put something down on the toilet before you sit on it.

Definitely when they have them, and if they don't I usually cover the toilet seat with toilet paper. The most clean bathrooms have the covers, but the doubtful ones hardly ever do.

Absolutely!
I was in Texas for 3 days a few years ago, and was amazed they don't have them there in public restrooms.
I just used TP strips layed on the seat.

Never. I think I get more germs by touching them. I 'hover' and if I found I have *ahem* sprinkled on the seat then I wipe it up with toilet tissue.
