Hi.16:9 is the same as 1.78:1 which is the aspect ratio of Widescreen TV (16 divided by 9)actually it is 1.77777777777 repeating. So we use 1.78 which is close enough.
Therefore ,if the height is "1" the width is 1.78 times the height. So if your image is 90 inches high your width will be 90 x 1.78 which is 160.2 inches .Therefore your screen image is 160.2 ins.wide by 90 ins.high.The diagonal image is 184 ins.

To prove you have calculated it properly ,divide 160.2 by 90 and the answer is 1.78 which is the correct aspect ratio for 16:9. Cheers.

The 16:9 applies to the panel (or screen), not the TV itself.

You need to take into consideration space for the speakers (usually at the bottom) + the stand!!

Without acounting for speakers and stand
16/9 = x/90 gives you 160" wide!! Or about 183" Diagonal
