Yeah, Dale Jr did drive the #5 car at the end of the race. Dale Jr was slowing down because Tony Stewart was spinning and Kyle just flat out punted Dale Jr from behind taking out himself and Dale Jr. Dale Jr's team tried to fix the car but it did no good so they called it a day. Kyle however left the track without giving a interview and without staying to see if his team could fix his car. So Dale Jr got in Kyle's car after the team fixed it and drove it for the remainder of the race. After the race, Dale Jr told PRN that he did that so that the fans could like Kyle more.

As I am sure you know, yes he did. Why? Well, the driver of the #5 car thought they were done for the day and left the track. His team got the car track ready and had no driver. Rules allow for a substitute driver and they asked Dale Jr. who was out of the race. Jr. in a class act said sure, hoped in the car and went to racing. It did not help or hurt Dale Jr's points standings, it was just a class act by a real racer.

Yes, it's true. Kyle Busch's team was able to get the car repaired and Busch had already left the track. So, Dale Jr. hopped in the car and drove it for a while.

APPARENTLY KYLE DECIDED TO LEAVE THE TRACK AFTER HIS CAR WAS DAMAGED. THE NUMBER 5 CREW WAS ABLE TO REPAIR THE DAMAGE AND JUNIOR WAS STILL AT THE TRACK.
SOME REASONS FOR JUNIOR TO DRIVE THE CAR WOULD BE:
1 TO GET INFORMATION ON A HENDRICK SET-UP
2 TO SEE ANY DIFFERENCES IN COMMUNICATIONS
3 TO ENSURE THAT THE 5 DIDN'T PASS THE 8 IN THE RACE (NO MATTER WHO FINISHES, THE DRIVER THAT STARTED THE RACE KEEPS ALL THE POINTS)
4 POSSIBLE TEST DRIVE FOR CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS
5 JUST BECAUSE HE FELT LIKE IT

ya kyle busch left the track cause he thought that the car was done but the team fixed it and needed a driver. Jr. was there because his car was done and so he took over the car.
I find it funny that jr drove the car that wrecked his car.

That's awesome! I was really starting to like Kyle but now I think he's a little brat.
I would have done the same thing and jumped in if they offered. Why not!!

Yes, he did. My guess is to learn something. HMS has bee dominating this year, so he was probably hoping he could learn something from their car to use on him own in the future.
