I'm 13 and my parents won't let me have a girlfriend, what should I do to prove I'm responsible enough?

I'm 13 and I have a 16 year old brother who has had one girlfriend when he was 13. The thing is my mom never knew about rheir relationship so she won't let me have one and there is this girl I really like. Also like the girls mom is fine with the Idea but my mom isn't okay with it and if I tell her about my older brothers last relationship he'll hate me forever. What should I do???

Explain to your mom that you respect her rules, and you want to be honest with her. Tell her that you think you like this girl, and that you want to get to know her. Make a few suggestions about hanging out with her in a way that includes your mom, or at least allows her to supervise. Your mom probably has some suggestions too. See if you guys can agree on a compromise that allows you both to get to know the girl better. Maybe after you've hung out together a few times, your mom will feel more comfortable with her being your girlfriend.

What should you do? Well first keep quiet about your brother cause blood is thicker than water, dating this girl is not worth damaging the trust and relationship with your brother.

Second, mothers knows best so i suggest you respect her and not date, your too young for that anyhow.

Listen young buck, at 13 you don't need a girlfriend, try doing things like sports or hiking or biking or hanging out with your buds. Get an interest in something like cars or something you can invest your time in, girls will come later.

well, for one thing, there is no reason to tell on your brother! just try not to act crazy around girls! that way, when your mom sees that a nice girl asked you out, she will be OK with it!
