If your camcorder came with a USB cord you can plug your camcorder up to your computer thru the USB port. Buy some DVD-Rs and burn the video off the Hi8 tapes to the DVD. Your computer should have a DVD burning program on it. My camcorder uses those Hi8 tapes also.

You will probably need to hook the camera to a vhs recorder, or into a computer, or DVD recorder. Use the camera output to go into the record on the recording device. Play the camera, and set the other device to record.
