I'm a straight guy, turning 16 in less than a month and my question is, is it weird for not wanting a girlfriend? I get complimented on my looks a lot of times by some girls, and I'm friends with a good share of them, some hot, some....not so much. It's not like I don't try asking girls out, but I end up developing a crush so strong for them, ending up asking them out, and they kind of leave me hanging, either being friends, or whatever. So I don't bother, or else one more denial would kind of crush my spirit.

Sure, there's hot girls I'd like to go out with, but they're not in my group of friends, and they're usually party girls, and I'm a straight-edge type of guy.

At this point, I'm somewhat sick of girls, especially all of them in my classes, who complain about the littlest things, saying random things they assume we care about. (For example, we're taking a test, and out of nowhere, this girl blurts out, "Omg, I just made this really stupid mistake." I can't help but think STFU.

Not to say that all girls are loud, obnoxious, whiny, whatever, since I have genuine friends who are girls, but I couldn't see myself in a relationship with those girls.

Also, more and more of my friends are getting gfs or "action" (not sex, but foreplay, etc.). I know just because they're doing it doesn't mean I have to, but I feel so left out, especially since I've never been kissed honestly.

Call me a loser or whatever, but I don't go and party, since a lot of people in my town like to drink and do drugs, and I'm not into that. Unfortunately, that's where everything happens pretty much. Either that, or they get girls just because they're into partying or something.

It just pisses me off that I don't get a break with this stuff, and whenever a girl comes along that likes me, I never like them.

Be true to yourself should always be your #1 priority. Alot of people looking for someone in their lives, find them after they give up. So, don't worry so much about it, and it'll happen for you. Good luck!

Sorry the rest of the world isn't but once you do find that girl who is actual on her road to being a women, not just an older gilr, you'll flow just fine. Just be glad you'll have a hard time making the same mistakes your peers make, of course now start to look at why this stuff isn't really there faults, can't blame kids for not growing up past there parnets... just keep your eye's open your seeing the right things and making the right choices... don't let that peer presure get you! Also talking to girls in this way is the best game ever made, TRUTH!!! So don't be surprise if you find "action" by not looking, hehe I was the same 16 year old buddy, same lol good to see some others out there! Just don't make this mistake, was talking the same stuff (honesty) to this lady I was 18 she was 26 everyone in my group had always tried to get with her, well I made it hard so she descided that she give it to me.... stupid mistake.... don't do those buddy! I think you sound like a great guy! I also think that not wanting a girlfriend for those reasons is pretty smart but i dont mean you should give up on trying to find a gf! I'm 13 and I like guys and stuff and i kinda want a bf but A. no guys will give me a chance and B. I dont really need a bf! i would barely have anytime for them and i really dont think gfs or bfs give u evrything u need or just plain happiness all the time! so to answer your question: No ur definetly not wierd, just take your time and someday youll find the girl of our dreams!!

Good Luck!

You're not wierd. We all feel that way sometimes regardless of our age. I'm married and work with all men. After being around them all day, sometimes I just can't stand men for another minute. Of course I get over it because I like them all, just as you will. Relationships with the opposite sex can be stressful at all stages in the game. As long as you keep true to yourself, you'll be just fine.

Of course it isn't weird that you don't want a girlfriend. Most girls in high school can't keep a relationship anyways. I think that you could stay single and there wouldn't be a problem...I know this girl who is boy crazy but she will not go out with any of them. It also leaves your options open for flirting. You probably don't want to be attached to only be able to flirt with one girl. I hope I helped.

First of all skip the drug scene. Don't go looking for a girl there. Sounds like you are too picky or just want forbidden fruit. Make friends with the girls you know and maybe magic will happen for you when you least expect it.

You are not weired at all, in contrary, I think you are one of the few guys who quite rightly recognize that there is no need to rush, no Need to panic, that chicks are just one aspect of life and that you can have a good time pursuing your other interests.

Aside, after some bad experiences, it is okay and important to have some time-out, think, re-arrange your emotions and reflect.

The sheer fact that you are thinking about it makes you are decent, reasonable and smart chap.
