Prof Sam, pk_dag (aka Paul King), and some other users like arronca and gosm3r came here from the MSN Dissident Action group awhile ago to try and "educate" people that HIV does not exist, deny any solid link between HIV and AIDS, don't get tested, condoms are dangerous, etc. They spam the boards with the same information over and over again, posting the same false things whenever they see a question that even passively mentions HIV.
It angers my greatly that they spread this disinformation to the young people who come here for help, rather than taking this issue up with their peers in the scientific community.
You may also have noticed that they have banded together, and are giving people who put real information thumbs downs, giving each other thumbs up, and voting for each other. This way, they get to claim they are in the majority here.
I have personally been to their boards, seen their videos, read their articles, and I must say, they have very little evidence. I must say they are extremely aggressive and very insulting to any one who refutes them.
They also boast about how they have 4,000 supporters in the medical field, including a Nobel prize winner. What they ignore is that there are millions of doctors and scientists who know that HIV causes AIDS.
The Y!A staff has begun to take action against them, but the most we can do for now is band together ourselves, vote for each other, and report them when they post dangerous false information and advice.

Yes, the people who are coming here from MSN Dissident Action group, are trolls. Others, such as Peter Duesberg and Kary Mullis, who feed those trolls have a different level of attack.
This problem is not unique to HIV and AIDS. For any human activity there are always a loud minority who misunderstand but claim to be modern day Galileos They feel like wizards because they think they are smarter than all scientists. They don't need any data or experiments, they simple "rethink" the issue and come to another conclusion.
Most of the trolls do not realize that they are being lied to. They simply can't believe that Peter Duesberg would tell lies.

At best, they're simply children; I'm not sure how anybody can dispute the idea that HIV is the underlying organism that causes AIDS. These same people would never dispute that a poliovirus causes polio, or that giardia causes giardiasis, or that a streptococcus pneumonia causes some forms of pneumonia, so I have a little trouble understanding why they don't believe AIDs is caused by Human immunodeficiency viruses 1 and 2. Clearly they have very little knowlege of human physiology and pathology, and of microbiology. I'd say trolls... er... people like that are the BEST advertisement I know of for using condoms!

Ignorance. And a reason not to put money on it (hey, why help the risk groups...they are either poor, or minorities that are not well accepted, therefore not a good business for pharma). Is a sad sad reality. There are tons of publications confirming the fact of the matter: HIV and the associated syndrome kills.

Because they dont want a National Outbreak. They dont want anyone to know they want everyone to sleep with eachother so they dont have to spend all this money on people who are eventually going to die. And if we all die of HIV/AIDS, they wont be blammed for it, we will. Becasue we are the ones who had sex, not them. So if you think about this from a governmental point of view, its all politics. Everything is always politics. Always. That why I hate the government most of the time. They screw us over.
