well with her eye twitching im only concerned because i have not seen her do this before..atleast i dont think so..i also heard its usual that when a dog gets a some kind of head injury (like my dog--skull fracture) it would come along with some kind of brain damage, is this true? im so worried..the vet is closed also..but my mom thinks shes fine..although im worried because she is my baby..i love her to death..and also money is a problem..we already spent $320 but if we were to go back we would probably have to spend more..
if i were to go to a emergency vet who i am not registered to, would it cost extra, only because im not in the records of their hospital? also does anyone know how much MRI's usually cost? im so worried but my parents are making me so mad i cant concentrate on anything because of my dog..im constantly looking after her and im watching her all night and i havent gotten much sleep the past few days!

she licks herself everywhere, she'll paw at her face and then lick it (like what dogs do when they clean themselves) im not sure if shes doing that to her face because shes hurting there since she got a skull fracture, and she'll lick her body, and she'll also lick her back legs..

also she walks weird up and down the stairs..instead of the way she used to go down(she would use all of her feet, she would do front leg-other front leg-back leg-then other back leg) and now she is doing front leg then sometimes other front leg and then her back legs at the same time..so she is kind hopping down the stairs..im not sure what to think of it though..she also stumbles when going up the stairs at times..

Head injuries/brain trauma are mostly diagnosed by observing the animal and doing some physical neurological tests - shining a light in the eyes, testing leg reflexes and paw placing etc. An xray can show a skull fracture, but brain damage can only be seen on an MRI scan - which is extraordinarily expensive and would only be done on an animal showing long term signs of brain injury.
Signs of trauma may not always be present at the vets, as you've seen. Since you spend most time with your dog, you'd be the one most likely to witness them. Tomorrow, phone your vet and tell her what you've seen and your concerns. They will want to know of any changes you've observed to help their diagnosis. I can't say if there's brain damage really, but if there's a skull fracture the dog is bound to have a headache at least! She might need some pain relief until this passes.
Phone your vet and have a chat, it won't cost anything. They can tell you how to proceed better than us as we haven't seen the dog.

First of all, what you described when she sleeps is normal. My dog does too. If she has a skull fracture, you should keep her quiet though, and not let her run around, I am shocked if the vet did not mention this. As long as her pupils are the same size, it should be fine, but if you are concerned, call your vet. Some dogs lick themselves alot for various reasons, you did not say where. Running and walking a bit wierd could be a sign of the injury. People often have coordination problems after a head injury, but a call to your vet who has seen the dog, would be the best thing to do.

Head injuries/brain trauma are quite often identified by way of watching the animal and performing some bodily neurological exams - shining a light within the eyes, checking out leg reflexes and paw putting etc. An xray can show a cranium fracture, but brain harm can only be obvious on an MRI scan - which is extraordinarily luxurious and would most effective be performed on an animal showing long run signs of brain damage. Indicators of trauma may not always be gift on the vets, as you might have seen. On account that you spend most time with your canine, you'd be the one surely to witness them. Tomorrow, mobilephone your vet and tell her what you've gotten seen and your considerations. They'll want to comprehend of any alterations you've got discovered to aid their diagnosis. I can not say if there's mind harm fairly, but if there is a cranium fracture the dog is bound to have a headache as a minimum! She could want some agony remedy except this passes. Mobilephone your vet and have a chat, it is not going to cost some thing. They can let you know how you can proceed better than us as we have not obvious the dog. Chalice

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7ov
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

well, apparently, if she has a skull fracture then she would feel dizzy until her skull has healed. For the twitching thing, that may just be her dreaming. My dogs eyes twitch, she groans, and she kicks in her sleep. It's normal.
