What are you using them for? If they are for the computer, they need to be plugged into it, and the power cord needs to be plugged in, too. With everything on, you may need to go to computer control panel, select sound, and open it and see that mute is off, and volume is up.

If your speakers are on a stereo, then see if the correct speakers are selected for the hook up.

maybe your speakers might be disconnetceted or check the volume control it might all be mute. that happens to me all the time.
