or are you better of dubbing the slow way ?

It does degrade the quality slightly but near unnoticable it should be fine.

I used to do sound booth work for a church and would use high-speed dubbing to make copies of the sermon. I say it's fine for speech, but for other uses, normal dubbing is best.

Hi speed should be ok, if it made for it. Otherwise the equalization will need to be changed.
