Most places that do photo developing have machines that you can do do-it-yourself photo developing right from your SD card. It is usually comparably priced to film developing - about 20-30 cents for a 3x5 photo and more for larger sizes. You can pick out just the photos you want using the machine, or you can pick out the photos you like beforehand at home and print them.
There are also photo sites that let you upload and print your photos and have the prints mailed (I use smugmug.com personally) to you or someone else. There are many services that will do this online.

If you are in the US, take it to most chain pharmacies such Walgreens, where they have the machines. Plug in your mem card, and you can choose which pictures to print out. When done, call over their rep and they'll start working on it. Should be done within 30 minutes, and only costs about $0.3 per print (plus tax).

The photo center in Wal-Mart has a machine which allows you to put in your SD card and select the photos you want developed. When you finish on the machine, the photo lab will receive the photos and you can pick them up there when they're finished. You can also go to www.walmart.com and upload the photos you want printed and then pick them up at the Wal-Mart of your choice.

I like to send my to Target, Costco or Snapfish...you can either pick them up or they will mail them to you house. You can pick the pictures you want, crop them, enhance them, change the color etc. The programs are pretty easy to use and there are help links if you need them. Some places can do the prints in a hour...Target takes longer if you send more than 100 prints.

I do all mine on the computer and send them to one of the above places...
