when i bowl, the first joint on my miccle finger hurts really bad... anyone know why? is there a brace or something.... is it how im holding the ball? thanks!

stop bowling for a while. it could be the way that you are holding the ball

It may be that the ball is drilled wrongly and most of the weight and ball pressure is on your middle finger. The 4th finger may be too short. You should have a balanced pressure on the 3rd and 4th fingers. You may have to use some antiinflammatories. If you dont want to redrillthe ball maybe the thumb can be lengthened by holding it at thefirst joint. The ball will be released earlier.

you ve sprained this tendon and yes you can go and get a brace
ask a physio about it
