Daniel Frederick Wallace (born 16 November 1976; also referred to as The Leader and King Danny I of Lovely) is a British writer and TV presenter, living in London, best known for starting both the random acts of kindness movement, Join Me, and the micronation Lovely.

Wallace was born in Dundee, Scotland, but grew up in Loughborough, England, and later Bath, England. He began writing at 13, writing reviews for videogames magazines like Sega Power and Super Play. At 18 he then began writing about entertainment and comedy, mainly through the magazine Comedy Review. He specialised in radio production at the University of Westminster. As a journalist, Wallace has worked for; The Guardian, The Independent, and dozens of others.

At 22, he was the youngest producer at the BBC. He was part of the British Comedy Award-winning Dead Ringers, and produced many other shows, including the critically-acclaimed cult hit The Mighty Boosh, and Ross Noble Goes Global.

A relative newcomer to television presenting, he has in the past few years had his own BBC2 series, and hosted some of the BBC's flagship prime-time shows — including Horizon for BBC2 and Test the Nation for BBC1, as well as hosting Sky's Conspiracies... series.
