is eating eggs just as good as eating meat for protein?

Neither one is healthy generally speaking :)

Eggs have lots of cholesterol, meat has lots of saturated fatty acids and both things are very bad for the heart and circulation.

If you need proteins the healthier way to go is oily fish (salmon, trout, sardines, mackerel, tuna) and soy food (like tofu) because:
1) they are packed with proteins
2) they are also packed with omega 3s, which helps you keeping cholesterol levels low and your arteries clean.

Another source of proteins (THE most perfect) is dairy but you better consume SKIM dairy because the others are high in saturated fats (unless they are organic and grass-fed).

eggs are the highest quality protein available. / cholesterol problem is a myth.eggs were lab tested on rabbits. rabbits don't eat eggs!
