My stomach drops instantly. It's that wonderful/terrifying moment of anticipation -like when the music starts to get louder in a horror movie, or when you get to the top of a roller coaster...
I do love a good tickle-fight, but when the subject is broached for the first time it is a little scary -I dont want to scare the person away, and I dont want to seem to eager (I like being tickled, but cant stand it at the same time)
I usually try to think of a way to turn it to my advanatge. I'm willing to get tickled if I can tickle back -so I would probably turn the tables and ask how ticklish THEY are first. (and maybe start with the first poke)

Tickling is acutally a form of abuse. When the person doesn't want to be tickled. There's laws against this. Most people just won't do that unless it is a significant other, or family. Hope this helps. Personally I've never had this question come up in a common friendship.

It depends on who is saying it. In general, if it is a woman who ask if I am ticklish, I will generally either tell her yes or bait her to find out for herself in hopes of a wonderful tickle encounter.
If It is somebody that I do not feel comfortable with, I would still admit to being ticklish but I would also make it clear that I am only willing to share tickling encounters with certain people that I am comfortable with. If they tickle me anyway, I will call them out for their lack of respect.
In general, I LOVE to be tickled by most ladies and very few men. When men tickle me, it is NEVER sexual and when ladies tickle me, it is only sexual if that is a mutual desire and understanding.

Hahaha..excellent question. But the answer depend on the spot that could be the target. Anyway, the word gives me:
The fear of getting too intense pleasure;
The pleasure of being a little frightened (you know, humans love to be frightened, which is why they like ghost stories);
The disgust of having to seem silly;
The fear of getting too near to someone.

I think they are a sex offender and using it as a cover. Everyone I know who tries to tickle me is a man and I always find out later they have a criminal record or they are eventually charged with something by someone.
Thats just my experience.
