He obviously had the best car all day just not the luck. Just like Martinsville and Atlanta the best car and team just not the luck at the finish or in the case of today not enough patience wanting to get a big lead and paid the price for it. Still another top five and looks good for the championship which is the big picture! Once everything clicks together he will reel off a some wins and probably a championship!

Luck. Sometimes stuff happens: a yellow flag at the wrong time, a bad pit stop, car failure, or the driver's inability to concentrate and actually win the race. Jeff Gordon, however, has had plenty of championships, so I wouldn't worry too much about him. He'll win soon.

Maybe people like to use him as the pase car and then out run him at the end when hes mentally and physically worn down by the race. He might just be getting board of being the best :-p

Today he scrapped the wall coming out of turn 4 and he started slowing down after that

things happen in the pits, and his cars have a tendancy to have problems... i know what you mean though...i always get all sad cuz he goes from 1 to 3... to 8... to 17... its depressing.
