I have three Doberman Pinschers.black / rust named Desire, Velvet & Blazer.I also have a rescued mutt. brownish-red color named Ginger. She was a neighbors dog that they left tied up outside under a broken down picnic table when she was just a pup. One Labor day week-end they were not at home & there was a bad thunderstorm and she was scared to death. Of course that was just the first day I went to her rescue. Poor dog!!! I went over there for a few months and fed her & the neighbors had the nerve to say, "what's up with you & these dogs?" ( they had two at the time, but the biggest one was able to get into the garage) Well of course I looked at them like they were stupid and told them " I don't like to see any animal go hungry or be mistreated!!" About a week later when I went over to feed the dogs they said "do you want her?"(the pup)" I told them not really since I have three Dobermans., but if you don't want her yes I will take her but it would have to wait until Saturday when I'd be off work so I could make sure the Dobies would accept her with no problem." Well all worked out fine & the Dobies loves her!!! Desire, my oldest Dobie I bought as a pup and when she was just a little thing she would sleep across my neck during the night.Couldn't do that now. lol I had a male Dobie named Snoop (Doggy-dog ) when I first got Desire,he was the smartest Doberman I have ever seen & that is why I got Desire. I wanted a pup out of Snoop.Well ,that is how I ended up with Blazer & Velvet. Of course neither are as smart as Snoop and I swear he was reincarnated from a human at one time!!! He is now at Rainbow Bridge and almost 4 years since he has left I still miss him terribly!!!

I have a Great Dane, he's a 5 yr old neutered blue Merle. I got him about 4 and a 1/2 yrs ago after reading an add in the paper. I wasn't even looking for a Dane, I wanted either a Boxer or a Neo Mastiff, but the add for Merlyn haunted me and I couldn't forget the number, so I finally called the people after about 3 weeks and they still had him. I went out there (a 2 hr drive from where I lived) and met the "man of my dreams" so to speak. We bonded instantly and we've been inseparable since. I never thought much of Danes, then I got one and all I have to say is that from now on, all dogs in my life will be Danes.

Maggie a10 year old, black and white American bulldog and Plott hound mix.
Ivy a 9 year old, white American bulldog, pure bred
Luther a 4 year old brindle and white American bulldog.
Gladys a 4 year old brindle and white American bulldog.
Luther and Gladys are the puppies from a little I bred out of Ivy and a national champion male American bulldog named Josh.

I got Maggie from a local breeder who ripped me off, she was suppose to be pure bred. But she's the best dog ever. Very talented has tons ot Obedience and Agility titles.
Ivy was give to me when her owner came on finical hard times and a new baby. She has shown in the breed ring and has a few titles in obedience.
Luther has his American Temperament Society title "TT" has done Rally obedience and some protection training, plus has shown well despite an knee injury as a pup.
Gladys is my Dad's dog and she just hangs around and loves us.

My dog is a 1 year old spayed female pit bull. Her name is Cadence. She is black and white, like a boston terrier. She is 50 pounds of pure muscle. She is Very smart!

My parents never allowed me to have a dog, so when I moved out about a year ago I started seriously looking for my first dog. I was having a hard time finding the dog that was just perfect for me. I have waited 20 years, I didn't just want to adopt a dog on a whim. Well, one day my boyfriend and I visited an animal shelter together, and this time we found this wonderful 1 year old pit bull, sooo sweet, and soo cute. We walked her, and played with her, and fell in love. So I decided to adopt her. I filled out the application and everything, and they told us they just had to review it real quick, then we could take her home. But then they saw that I was not old enough to adopt a pit bull (must be 21), so I had to go home without her. I cried the rest of the day, I really thought I had my dog. I went to work sad, and was prepared to come home to an empty house. But when I got home my little pit bull was waiting for me!! My boyfriend went back and adopted her himself, because he is old enough. It really was the best surprise of my life!!

i adopted gracie lu from k-9 corral in the houston area about 2 1/2 years ago she is about to have her 3ed b-day this july and her border collie mother is very proud (jk the last time we saw her mother was when we adopted grace) but she is half border collie they told us her father was a traveling salesman lol ; ) no joke on that one the vet said she had german shepard and manchester terrior traits in adition to the border collie she is very heathy but a few pounds over weight she is mostly black on her back with a tan mask and underbelly she has tan eyebrows and paws with 2 black dots on each center paw she really is beautiful she is amazingly intelegente (although im not [cant tell if that's spelt right]i think so maybe) she was house-broken like a month after we got her (that is acctualy quick) she knows everytrick in the book (unless you could come up with a new one) she even gives high 5s lol she really is very smart she now knows the words we have to spell ( W-A-L-K / LEASH / C-A-R / ECT.)

if youre thinking of adopting dont buy pure beeds from breeders they ussually have heath problems adopt mixes from shelters theyre usually better pets and take the best traits from both parents

good luck : )

A have a papillon named Josie. She's black and white.

Not much story to how I got her, I knew my old 4-H leader bred paps, so I called her up. She didn't have any litters currently, but one of her dogs had sired a littler for another breeder that was already ready to go. So I contacted the other breeder and got my pup. (I did have to drive about 5 hours one-way to get there, so it was an all-day ordeal.)

I have a dog named Takoda who's a Border Collie/Belgian Sheepdog/and probably something else. He's black with white paws, chest, and chin.

I went to the shelter where my friend volunteered expecting just to go and look and then leave. I found Takoda lying on the door. All the other dogs were up on the doors barking and carrying on. I looked in and watched him sleep for a while. He then looked at me, and I looked into his eyes and I fell completely in love. My friend helped me take him out and I played with him and took him outside to play for a little bit. I put in an application, and he was mine. He's the sweetest dog ever.

I have a yellow lab, Miller Lite, got him from my husband's coworker's friend of the family. She and her husband had two dogs and were expecting their second child and her husband pretty much forced her to give him up. I'm very thankful for it because he is a GREAT DOG.

We also have a redtick coonhound (may be a cross of something else too but she looks coonhound only), got her at the pound 2 weeks ago, we call her Lucy Goosey.

i should be what i'm now, a sturdy ol' American mixed breed. i should be severe, have a sturdy artwork ethic, and need to stay in a sturdy operating residing house. If I were kept as only a puppy in a fenced backyard, i should be digging large holes and barking because of the shear boredom of all of it. i ought to need to be taken places, to study new issues, and to make certain human beings. i should be pleasant yet reserved and in no way aggressive. i should be very dependable to my loving proprietor and to the my kinfolk. My look should be known. No extremes, perhaps a medium or double coat. very comparable to a flow between a spaniel and a shepherd. colour black perhaps brown with a touch white trim. i should be beautiful to examine and useful to the contact. i ought to problaby weight 50-60#.
