1. How often would you say you drink any form of carbonated beverage?
Several times a day: Diet Coke (no caffeine) poured from a 2-liter bottle. I average about one bottle every two days. I often don't drink as much as I pour and come back later to dump out the icky flat stuff and start over. I do try, however, to drink at least as much plain water daily, also.
2. Do you own any items displaying an insignia for a carbonated beverage?
Yes, let's see...a "Pepsi" fleece jacket because my sister works for Pepsi and gave it to me...very comfy! Also maybe 4 glasses with "Coca-Cola" insignia on them...some bought myself, cheaply, others given to me as gifts.
3. How do you think the advertising for brands such as Coca-Cola and Pepsico effect you daily life?
Zero effect, unless it's a damn-funny TV ad. I appreciate ads that give me a laugh, but...let's see, have I EVER gone out and bought a product because I liked the funny ad? Hmmm...NO! I drink Diet Coke (no caffeine) because I like the way it tastes. I've tried many other diet colas and haven't liked them as much. I also occasionally drink a root beer or a cream soda (non-diet; Henry Weinhard's--absolutely superior!) but these are a treat.
4. Anything else that you would like to add involvinf soda pop?
Mmm...not really. I can easily get onto a soapbox on just about any subject, so don't get me started!
Good luck with your report!

(1) I seldom drink carbonated beverage but I do sample new flavors and/or products.
(2) I collect artifacts from the Coca-Cola Company: Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite, Fanta, and most of the products in the company's worldwide portfolio.
(3) I research the history behind the artifacts I collect from the Coca-Cola Company and Bottlers and I pay attention to any new products they introduce worldwide.
(4) We are experiencing a decline in "soda pop" or carbonated soft drink (CSD) in the US in the past couple of years. This trend will probably NOT be reversed in the forseeable future so we will see Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Cadbury-Schweppes, Cotts, other large CSD makers to continue making even more investment in other beverage categories: juices and dairy drinks, teas and coffees, waters, energy drinks, lifestyle drinks, and other non-carbonated beverages.
You're welcome and good luck with your research report.

Usually when I answer questions like you've posted, I get some sort of prize!!!! :) Ok, here goes:
1. I drink Pelligrino sparkling water daily
2. I have 12 packs of Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, Diet Dr. Pepper and Fresca in my fridge
3. I am unaffected by these particular brands and their advertising campaigns. What I used to think was spectacular, however, was the old Shasta soda commercials. They were wonderful!
4. I think drinking soda on a daily basis is really bad for you and contributes to the obesity facing Americans and their children these days. I think that, if soda pop companies were smart, they would find ways to market sparkling flavored waters that are organic and good for you.
