I guess all the questions come down to one point. If science can not prove something, then that something doesn't exist. That is not scientific nor is it logical, but it is the foundation of the atheist 's belief system.
In YA, atheists have tried to claim the high ground of intellectual superiority. Their whole foundation is a joke. They are as faith based as any religion, no matter how superior they claim to be.

It depends. If you can think of rules that a soul should follow and then try to test them then yes. First try to ask, what does a soul do, how does a soul affect a person. What kinds of things would I expect in a person with no soul.

No. Because a soul has divine meaning and its more than energy or matter. Nothing divine can be proven. Thats the whole crux of the argument.

Kindof. Any biologist will tell you that life is more than the sum of its parts. What that "more" is becomes difficult to explain. There is no proof, except a lack of explanation for a particular trait.

No it cannot, but then I don`t think science is in the business of proving religion anyway.
