The Lord calls some to the ministry, some to be Apostles, some Prophets, some Evangelists, some Pastors & some Teachers.

What title is the Pope under in the 5 fold ministries of the Lord?

I'maCatholic, Thanks, That is a nice web page. And I understand the Cathlic understanding of mother Mary a bit more. She is considered a way to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Are there many paths to lead to Jesus (The Way, Truth & Life) & is Mary one of them?

I have a hard time as picking yours as best, because I don't think the Pope is the top of all the 5 fold ministry. Jesus is the High Priest forever, after the order of Melchizedech, because He shed His own blood for the remission of our sins, once & for all.

Technically, as BISHOP of Rome, he would be a pastor. But as head of the magisterium, he could also be considered a teacher. And as the elected vicar of Peter, he can be regarded as an apostle. The others don't seem to be his natural talents.

The "office" of the Pope fills all five ministries:

+ Apostle: All bishops are successors of the Apostles. The Pope in particular is successor of Simon Peter, the first Pope.

+ Prophet: The Pope points to the way, the truth, and the life and warns people and nations of practices that does not lead to faith, hope, and love.

+ Evangelist: The Pope leads the Church in spreading the Gospel to "make disciples of all nations"

+ Pastor: The Pope is the senior pastor of 1.1 billion Catholics

+ Teacher: The Pope is entrusted to be the leader of the Church teachers who are "teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you"

Here is Pope Benedict XVI's first encyclical on "God is Love": http://www.vatican.va/holy_father/benedict_xvi/encyclicals/documents/hf_ben-xvi_enc_20051225_deus-caritas-est_en.html

With love in Christ.

The Pope is all of these - apostle because he has been sent by God to proclaim the Good news, prophet because he a spokesman for the Catholic Church and the Body of Christ, evangelist because he preaches God's word, pastor because he carries on Jesus command to Peter to feed His lambs, and teacher because he teaches us how to live a life in accord with God's will.

Hopefully, ALL of us are doing our duty in the five forld ministry of the Lord.

The 5 fold ministry is biblical. examine Ephesians 4:11 "It became into he who gave some to be (a million) apostles, some to be (2) prophets, some to be (3) evangelists, and a few to be (4) pastors and (5) instructors."

The office of the Pope is not in the scriptures anywhere!!! That is a manmade title!! If the Pope really was some kind of a minister of the Gospel and or a righteous representative of the Gospel or the church here on planet earth then who would not have allowed those priests and bishops under his authority to molest thousands and thousands of children would he?
Would the representative of God's church on planet earth have allowed 10 dioceses to have to file bankruptcy because of the amount of lawsuits filed in court in regards to the crimes committed? They are not only financially bankrupt but they are spiritually bankrupt and NONE of it is of God!

The office of the Pope is the one handed down from Peter, therefore it is Apostolic.

Cheers :-)
