It depends what grade te teacher is teaching. Any grade 6 and beyond the teacher probaly wouldnt cre but from Pre-k to 5th the teacher would be upset and think its a bad word.

Well, it's a slang word. I can't imagine any English Teacher thinking it is a proper word to use.
Teachers are there to educate you. How you express yourself verbally says a lot about you.
Whether you use it or not....still good to know the proper way to speak intelligently.

Although we can come up with alternative origins, I would be willing to bet that the slang usage of 'suck' meaning 'to be no good' comes from the moral judgment on fellatio as being bad. Thus, it's arguably no worse than saying something 'has sex with animals' :-)

My English teacher Mrs. Lonergan did when I was in 8th grade. I said something "sucks out loud."
I don't remember exactly what her response was, but I'm sure it sucked.
Out loud.

It means "sucks ****", a connection with male gay oral intercourse. in case you on no account say "sucks" to point "is inferior", you would be greater helpful off, and you need to have some risk of entering polite society. Your instructor is a boob (which isn't a bad observe in this context).

Depends on how white, old, and corny he/she is. Good thing is in college, you can say whatever you want as long as it is not in a mean way (Call someone a curse word or something like that)

It is not a bad word. It is just a sign of a poor vocabulary. Surely you can explain how you feel without using such a stupid word.
