Hey

Will be in amsterdam for only a weekend and i wanted to find out if they have a metro system like paris which is the same as the tube in london?

I need to know where i can obtain a map of amsterdam online, as well as a map of their metro system and where can i buy a pass for the metro?

As a foreigner, am i allowed to participate in coffee shops ?

There are tram/street car like things. No metro/subway.

Yes, of course, any adult can go into a coffee shop and order whatever they like.

Nederlandse Spoorwegen, the Dutch railway network connects most of Amsterdam and all of the Netherlands. You can get a map of Amsterdam free on arrival at the Schiphol international airport or NS stations. Alternatively, try the website www.ns.nl

You are allowed to participate in coffee shops located in Damrak in Centraal Amsterdam.

yes amsterdam has a metro system, with 3 lines, quite an engineering feat in such a low lying city

you can buy a metro pass at the station or in any V V V (tourist office)

coffee shops don't check nationality, but remember it is actually illegal (yes, even in Amsterdam)

if you can avoid breasts against every window you pass. im sure you'll find someone with information.

beware of hash brownies in the coffee shops
