Sorry, but you people who think you've found your imagination now that you've left religion alone are getting a bit desperate for new input, aren't you?
Compare Revelation 1:12-15 with Daniel 10:5,6 and see if those two figures look like they're from God's side - remember, God disdains a showy display of one's means of life. If a demon can impersonate the prophet Samuel that it can do a pretty fair job of appearing to be an angel (the word isn't mentioned in either text) to gullible Christians who want to believe that they are blessed with extraordinary insight.
Heaven is a gated community according to the dark side! Go blame Satan for that one. ALL OF YOU - do your research - that's what your brain's there for.
The only reason why you wouldn't is because you know your livelihood would be under threat.

12 gates, for 12 tribes.
When Jesus comes back for the people who have there names in the Lambs book of life, Satan will take over the Earth, for 3/12 years, all things about God will be done in secret, any one breathing the name of God, or Jesus will be put to death. Then Jesus and all them he took up with him, and everyone in heaven will come back in Spirit Bodys, shining like little suns. And on horse's, White ones the Bible says in 19 of Revelations.
Then Satan will be thrown into a bottomless pit. Him and death, all sickness, so everyone who is born in this time nothing is wrong with them. And they dont die.
So the new Jerusulume the City of God, comes and in mid space, hovers over the ground of Jeruslum,
People are still alive here on earth, but are not welcome into the City of God untill the day of Judgment, then that comes at the end of the 1000 years, Satan is turned loosed, he can torment once more, kill, and bring sickness to Earth once more, and the people born in this time of no Satan, gets to be tested, and then at the end of there being tested, all the books are open, the book of life, and the book of deeds and works. The book of life will save you from eturnal death, the book of works and deeds will condem you to Hell,
So back to the gates,
in the 1000 years of no Satan, only the true children of God who have been given the new bodys like Christ, will be able to go into that City. it will be so close to Earth, but God did this to save lives, not to reject them. If your here on earth, and you have no new body of the reserection, going into the City of God, is death, both is soul and body. Once the books are open and judgment comes, a new Earth, and Heaven is going to be created, no more Gates. No need for gates. but as long as there is sin, there is a gate.
I hope you can understand. In that only time in heaven and earth is there going to be a gated community, only keeping people safe, not from God, but if they enter with outout the new body, there dead, Only in the new body, after death, can you go into the city, basicly, a Ghost Town, full of power.
Life, and love. Its Heaven in Holy Ground, no sin can come into it, untill death, then if you know God, you can, If you dont, then you wont.
Life starts after death, this is just a place to let us make up our minds God or nor God,,, Got Jesus???
