Great Spirit
I ask that your love touches the hearts of all those tonight
that whether they know where that love comes from , or what name they associate with that love
that it will be felt all the same
that those looking for peace will find peace
that those looking for hope will find hope
that those looking for happiness will find happiness
I ask also that those who seek to be a candle for others , will shine so bright that they light up the hearts of others who cross their path
that with this light , they may cause ripples in this world
that those ripples will be felt from a great distance
I ask this in your name
which is love
Amen

oh best ask a question lol
does it matter which name we pray in ?

Amen.

As for the name we pray in...yes and no. It probably matters to the individual doing the praying, because we have a tendency to fragment the power of our love by giving it one name or another. In the event that the power of prayer is what feeds whatever these "gods" are, then it may well matter to them too. But the power of love is at the core of most faiths, and it's entirely possible that by focusing on the emotion, rather than the name, we transmit that emotion more directly to those we send it to, than we would by narrowing the field to one "god". Love finds love, no matter what the name, love reflects love, and enters into every heart that knows it.

My love to all this night, that it may touch them, make their darkness easier and their light brighter, that they may pass along the love inside them to all they meet.

Pangel, you remind me so much of how I used to be. I know that you have a caring heart and you believe that you are doing the right thing. Your prayer was lovely in as far as it goes and I'm sure that many will be drawn to your teachings because of the love you show. Many will be drawn to the mystical aspects, even the name you have chosen - Pangel - when your own name is probably something very ordinary like Jean. But Pangel have you ever questioned the spirits you commune with. Have you asked them who is their lord. They might answer, they might even ask you who you think their lord is. Try asking them in the name of Jesus Christ, who is Lord over all and don't be deceived. Keep at it until you get an answer. You may be surprised at their reaction. I want you to know that I am praying very specifically for you daily. That you will be set free, as I was and that Jesus Lord of All will take His rightful place in your heart. God bless - and I am praying it in His name.

Thank you, Babes, that's really beautiful. I don't think it matters which name you pray in as long as you truly believe in that name.
The reason I have a problem with religion is because I find it very arrogant. I know that might sound a bit strange, but if you think about it, all different religions try to tell you that theirs is the real one and all others are wrong. Until our time is over, we will never know if there is something more out there.
I envy all those of you who do believe in something and I hope one day you will get all you're praying for.

Is this from the great law of peace, from the Algonquin
nations ?.
One of the great documents of the Native Americans, that
served as one of the examples for the forging of the
constitution of the United States.
A debt acknowledged by Congress and the House.
It's been a long time since I've read it but it seems very
familiar.

YES Love does cover them all, and for those that have a problem with the name, i would suggest that they pray the same prayer, and put in the Name, that they want to pray to.

my prayer is that all of our lights my one day shine as bright as yours.

Amen. The Bible says that God is love. Thus if we pray to God, we pray to Love. Or rather the purest form of love. Blessing in the Light of Christ!

Nice words, all you have to do is know who the Great Spirit is. Christians do, those who are not pray to the unknown Spirit, but nonetheless a Spirit. So I would say, not offensive.

It matters very much wich name we pray in. Then only name that has true power is the name of Jesus Christ. The only place where you will find peace hope and happiness is in the love of Jesus. In order to have all those things you must trust Jesus as your Lord and Savior. If you do not you will never have those things. You must believe he died for you sins and recive the free gift offered. Every thing you wrote above is in the heart of the Lord. You have the heart of the Father God. May the Lord bless you in all you do.
