I love that site - all of the recipes you post are automatically put into your online cookbook, and your friends can see them.

If you upgrade to the paid membership, you can create more than one cookbook and choose whether to make it public or private.

I am in the process of building my own site. Currently just posting on my 360 blog and you can control who sees and posts comments.

You can set up an account with www.myspace.com and you can choose who sees what. You can keep it open with your friends only or invit anyone and everyone it's up to you in myspace create your own page and you choose who sees what.

Build your own website. Yahoo has some nice cheap services and you can run your own website. Who knows..maybe it will turn into a nice little side business for you.

You could create your own blog. I recommend www.blogspot.com. It's really fun & there are so many things you can with it. It archives all your entries, you track who visits your site, people can leave comments, your can upload photos, etc.

Bebo.com would be good, i have bebo and myspace and i recon bebos easier, init you can add pics of your recipies, the actual recipies, get comments on them etc and its free, ooh and you can amke it private so only friends can see it :)

A friend of mine used LiveJournal for hers. And she made it friends only. And it was the free account.

You probably get web space form your ISP... find out hot to go about claiming it and use that webspace for free!
