easily! Just be careful about the calories. Your body may need more than 1100 calories a day especially if you are still growing. The important thing is to be living a healthy lifestyle. Participate in activities that are enjoyable for you and learn about healthy cooking and healthy foods.

A lot of people try to work out on a low-carb diet but your body needs carbs to give you the energy for the workout. Just dont undo the workout by eatting a slice of cheesecake after each workout as a "reward".

Have a healthy lifestyle and eat lots of fruits and veggies. Increase your metatbolism by not skipping meals and eatting a small (keyword small) snack every couple hours. Remember to take in less calories than you are burning and you'll lose that weight!

Don't rely on jean size. For instance, I'm pretty thin, but my bone structure won't allow me to fit in a size 0, or even a 2 no matter how much weight I lose.

You have a lot of time before the next school year. Eat at least 1200 calories a day, no less, and stay active for 30 minutes a day. You should mix up your workout routine though, because your body will get used to your workout. Take a break from running every few days, and dance, or swim, or go jump rope (jump roping is harder than you think; it's actually really effective!).

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Actually, that will make you gain some weight. If you go below 1200 calories your body does not think that you are eating enough food, so it begins to store in your body. I count calories, too. You do not need to decrease your caloric intake anymore than 300-500 calories per day. Plus, if you are exercising you are going to be burning more calories that you already burn in your everyday life. So, if you want to lose 2 jean sizes just increase your calories a little bit. I have started counting calories three weeks ago and I have lost 7 lbs. Remember: 3500 calories equals one pound. Good luck!!

1100 to 140? or 1100 to 1400?

I hope it's the latter. Anyhow, it depends on how much you weigh now. It also matters how hard you are working out. And it also matter what kinds of foods you consume. In order to lose weight most effectively you should combine cardio workouts with weightlifting. Lifting weights help build muscle. You won't get big, trust me. I've been lifting for ten years, heavy weights and I can't even tell that much. Muscle helps the body burn fat more easily and quickly. If you're not using weights in your workouts and you're not getting enough protein your muscles may start to atrophe and this will decrease your body's ability to use fat cells for energy and it'll start to use the proteins that are in your muscle tissue, making your muscles smaller and less effective.

you might but not knowing your hight and weight its hard to tell if that little calories are enought for you to stay healthy.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

depends on how much you currently weigh and what your metabolic rate is.

If that is fewer calories than your body has been ingesting, and is more exercise that you are used to, then yes, you will probably lose weight.

You will hit an equilibrium point where you will need to up the exercise to lose more weight.

im pretty sure you will. eating lots of fruits help. you might want to vary your exercise routine or try to make it more fun, like taking a dance class, like salsa. I don't know much on how calories work but cutting down carbs period helps ALOT.
