They have the mistaken idea that they can change or "fix" him...it's got to take a lot of ego to assume you can do that to a person...either that or a lot of foolishness.

This is one part of the equation I have yet to figure. But yes from what I've observed in life I agree. Women seem to give asshole guys much more leeway in relationships before they jump ship then they give "good guys". Why? I've no idea.
