I know this is not the answer you would like but,..... getting Heartgard off the internet is NOT a good idea. No prescription works 100%. The good thing about Heartgard is that they guarantee their product 100% ONLY if you buy it through a vet. This is because there have been scam artists selling fake flea/tick prevention & heartworm prevention. These internet companies that are selling these products are not getting it from the manufacturers. The big question is where are they getting it??? So if the medication doesn't kill one heartworm and your dog comes up positive then Merial the manufacturer of Heartgard will pay for the treatment of killing the heartworms (which is very very expensive) if you buy it through a vet. Also the internet companies will tell you it is cheaper to buy it through them when its not always true. At my office (i'm a vet tech) our heartworm prevention is cheaper plus when buying heartworm prevention you get a mail-in rebate for at least $5.00 if not more. Plus on most of these internet companies you need to pay for shipping unless buying over $50.00 worth of products from them. Sorry about the bad news. It's the best thing financially for you and the safest for your pet. If you HAVE to get it online then use Dr. Foster's & Smith , NOT PETMEDS!!!!!

Vet Girl is completely right! DO NOT BUY FROM PET MEDS! I am also a Veterinarian Technician and would highly discourage you from purchasing any medication from online sources. Our vet clinich also sells heartworm preventive (Heartguard, Interceptor) for less than Pet Meds.

Go to your vet. I have checked the net and found that after adding shipping it is no cheaper then getting it from the vet.

www.drsfostersmith.com/Product/prod_Display.cfm?N=3001&pCatId=9464

www.petshed.com/heartgard.asp

There are others, which I'm sure will be posted.
