Most dogs should be bathed as frequently as necessary - so it depends on how dirty your dog gets. You should not bathe too frequently as this can be drying to the skin. Be sure to use a conditioning shampoo. Since Poodle hair never stops growing your dog will need to be trimmed regularly. Also, poodle hair becomes easily tangled - so it's important to brush at least several times weekly.

Hope this helps!

I would suggest once a week, especially with a pup. It will only make things easier in the end for you or your groomer. I'm a dog groomer and I've seen some nutty dogs that hate baths because they were not started out right. Most of our clients come once a week and a few require special medicated shampoos so it's essential to come weekly!

well it is good to keep your dog clean but to much bathing will dry out the skin. well for a pup that young you should bathe at least everyother week. when the pup is about 12weeks then you can do once a week. but when you bathe use a very mild shampoo like baby shampoo(johnson&johnson), or you can use aveeno which is very good for the skin.i have golden retrievers and they get dry skin, well i use the aveeno on them and it works really well. but at least right now bathe only everyother week then when reaching 12 weeks bathe once a week and use aveeno or baby shampoo. good luck with your little guy.

Bathe your dog if it smells. Otherwise it does not need a bath.
