Not ******* per say, but guys who stand up for themselves. One thing that might help you in understanding why women prefer a particular kind of guy is to make plutonic female friends. If they're honest, they'll give you a real view of what they want.
If a woman is attractive, she gets complimented on her looks and hit on all the time. Sometimes she wants a guy who will look at her other qualities. So sometimes when you approach a woman and you tell her she's beautiful, you might think it's a nice compliment, but she could be thinking, "here's another guy talking about my looks again"
When a guy is successful with lots of women, sometimes women just want to be noticed by that guy. Some of them even prefer to be one of his women than be rejected by that guy. Sometimes other women want to find out first hand what women see in him.
There's no one direct answer for this question and not all women go for *******. Remember this though: women want someone they can look up to, not down upon. If you're too nice, you can end up becoming a door mat, and that's just people in general. If you have other questions, feel free to IM me.

Seriously.....NO ONE in their right mind is deliberately gonna set themself up to get hurt.
Some women, though, think that the "bad boy" or exciting guy is gonna make them happy.
Just like some guys will think that the "hottie" is the perfect girl.
Sadly, most of the time, these people are deluded and end up getting hurt.
Just keep hanging in there and you will find a woman who is looking for someone "real"....not a jerk. And she will want to be treated right....and will treat you right, too.

The reasons are varied.

Some women are looking for a fixer-upper -- a 'project man' like guys will look for an old 'project house.'

Some of the ******* have incredible powers of persuasion, including charisma and the ability to SEEM like prince charming for a limited time (this is incredibly common). A girl starts out with a guy who makes her feel great about everything, and he slowly starts breaking down her self-worth until she feels she needs him. Very hard for the involved female to detect.

Some girls are looking for a bad boy to get even with previous guy | mom & dad | ex-friend.

And of course, there are plenty of nice guys that have found the woman of their dreams (or nightmares) and settled down.

Well, not ALL women go for the '*******'. But it's probably because at their young age they aren't looking for a serious commitment yet and just want to fool around. Than when Junior year comes around she goes for the smart sweet guy she knows she be happily married with after high school. But if you're talking about MUCH MUCH MUCH older women, not college or high school...it's because they're dirty naughty skanks.

A dude that makes a woman's glands go off is not often a dude she can live with, and they have to find that out the hard way. The more you tell a young woman a guy is no good, the better he looks to her.
It does make you tired.
At times I have wished I was a mean prick - they ALWAYS have a woman. But I am not.

hahaha, becuz the ******* are professionals at acting like good guys. My ex is extremely attractive, and quite possibly one of the kindest people in the world, to everyone he meets. Including all the other girls he was screwing.

Whats the one thing you always and I mean ALWAYS hear women say turns them on? Confidence. One thing about assholes is they usually have the confidence thing down to an art. Women respond to it like moth to a flame and wind up being burnt.

I dont go for the assholes, i go for sweet guys that like me for me... i guess the girls that go out with assholes do it 1)becuz they want to be accepted by the popular girls or 2)becuz they a really shallow and need a crapfaced guy to function... only you can decide which category different girls go in to
