This is true. As a Christian, you do go through personal trials and tribulations, but if you continue your faith in God and depend completely on Him during the tough times, it makes you a stronger and better person in the end.

This is not to say that non-believers do not have rough times, because they certainly do! Sometimes they have many trials in their lives because God is trying to draw them to Him.

God did not promise sun without rain
Joy without sorrow
Life without pain
But He did promise
Strength from above
Heartfelt sympathy
Undying love

Oh yes indeed, when a person turns their life over to Christ then he/she is in the world but not of the world anymore and the world will do it`s utmost to turn you back or destroy you,but this persecution is the Christians joy for as the Master was persecuted so to will His followers be.
Rejoice for I have conquered says Jesus, the spirit of this world is overcome and condemned` this is our security that the Lord has indeed conquered and nothing created, nothing that is to come will come between us and the Love of God made visible in Jesus Christ.

Yes. But then count all the fiery temptations as a learning experience. As we learn to trust & obey God more. It is called maturing in Christ. But we need to wear the Ephesians 6 armor asap.

Who is he who overcomes, he who is born of God. What is our victory, our faith in Christ.

We need to take back what the devil stole. Demand the devil, "Give it back devil, all of it.". Claim Gods promises & restoration.

Though I can yell at the devil, the real victory over deception is submitting to God, resist satan & satan flees. Submitting to God scares the devil something awful. Because the power of even the littles child of God submitting to God is frightening to the destroyer. To submitt to God is simple. Pray Gods Word; pay attention to Gods blessed assurance when praying in spirit & truth; ask God what to do about this awful feeling; listen for Gods answer; etc...

When one pays attention to Gods love & assurance, then one is resisting the tempter, by not paying attention to the tempter.

How do you explain why some strong faithful Christians have awesome easy lives? How do you explain why some atheists lives are filled with sickess, poverty and hardhips when they already belong to Satan? Sounds like you're assuming that only Christians seeking the Lord whole heartedly should and will suffer. Keep telling yourself whatever it takes to make you feel better.

Two reasons for this:

1. Satan is trying to destroy your faith.

2. The Lord is refining you.

Consider the life of our early Christian forebears...being thrown to the lions and to other wild beasts; they didn't have a life of ease and we shouldn't expect any better treatment. Satan wants very much to destroy us because we are his hated enemies. He KNOWS that he is a defeated foe doomed to hell and he wants to take as many people as he can with him.

Jesus said they would hate us because they first hated Him. Also that it is not really us they hate but God in us.
The main reason life gets harder after accepting Christ is. Satan does not have to do anything to make a non-Christian sin it is their nature, and he already owns them. Christians on the other hand have a new nature and Satan must try to get us to sin. Why would Satan try to make things hard for those who already follow him? Before you accepted Christ you belonged to Satan, now after accepting Jesus you are no longer Satan's puppet and he hates you for that.
Just remember this "Greater is HE who is in me then he who is in the world."
