They are all still relevant today they just have different interpretations of them.

Pride - The amount of working parents who put money and belongings and wanting to look and be the best above their family. They take pride in being `someone` a `career person`.
Wrath - look at the wars and killings and angry people around today.
Envy - Burglars steal cos they envy what we have but are to lazy or incapable to earn it for themselves.
Lust - the amount of killings done in the name of lust (mistaken for love). The amount of divorce and breakdown of families due to lust.
Gluttony - We now have `fat camps` obesity is a growing concern in the west.
Avarice - Greed, selfishness and an unwillingness to share our wealth both monetary and spiritual and time to help others.
Sloth - just look at the amount of people on the benefit system who are on it because they are too lazy to get work. They live in squalor rather than work for the money to improve their lifestyle. (yes I know this is a major generalisation)

Sin is still going on we just don't seem to be as concerned about it. We have a society that expects everything for nothing with no responsibility involved.

Rather than sins, I would like to list for you the 7 Dvine Laws:

Fulfilment Always Involves Others

An Inappropriate Event would not take Place

A Soul is Judged on Intentions more than on the Outcomes of its Actions

A Soul is Fully Responsible for All of its Actions

The Purpose of Incarnation is the Growth of A Soul

The worth of Knowledge is in its Benefit to Others

Making Mistakes does not Preclude Growth

I'd use the same list.
Sin is not outdated. As long as there are people, there will be sin.
Right now I think the worst is lust. Too many people w/stds who don't give damn about anything except for getting laid and they end up destroying their own life and others.
Gluttony is a close second. 68% of Americans are fat!

The idea of sin as depicted in the orthodox religions is off the mark spiritually speaking. It is not sin, but karma (the law of Cause and Effect) that is at play in our lives. All that stuff about forgiveness of sin is wrong; you reap what you sow.

That said, there are five passions of the mind that make us pile up bad karma, the moral equivalent of sin: LUST, ANGER, GREED, ATTACHMENT (to material things) and VANITY. Whatever bad thing that anyone does would be as a result of these five passions or their offspring. Stealing could be due to greed deep down, while gossiping may be as a result of bottled animosity, a child of anger.

The seven deadly sins still are: pride ( the biggest one that underlies the others), wrath, envy, lust, gluttony, avarice and sloth.

Your question is self answering...it's a prideful question.

Sin is never outdated, those sins that offended God from the beginning still offend Him today,as for the seven deadly sins they too are still very deadly and relevant as ever.
Fashions change, technology advances, but human nature is still the same, God too is the same yesterday, today and forever.

i think its outdated as every person, culture and country have different ideas of what sin is.
Also i find it interesting that the 7 deadly sins are all characteristics of any normal human being although most people try to hide them. Just another example of the bible trying to seperate us from the animals.

SIn is an outdated concept, as it could be argued that nowadays all humans are destroying the planet which we were given by god - apparently - (controversial i know) and by burning fossil fuels arent we doing just that making us all sinners?
As for seven deadly sins? hmmm, not keeping up to date with all the latest celeb gossip (where i come from anyway) poor fashion sence, being too fat, being too thin, farting in public, regicide and walking into the wrong pub in manchester on a saturday night. - it may not be a sin, but let me tell you, its ****ing deadly.
